Speaker Bio
James "Disco Donnie" Estopinal Jr., founder and CEO of Disco Presents, is a pioneer in U.S. electronic dance music with over 30 years of shaping its live event landscape. Originally launched as Disco Donnie Presents in 1994 with wildly themed raves in New Orleans, Donnie gained global recognition as dance music’s unexpected First Amendment champion after emerging victorious against U.S. prosecutors. Since then, Disco Presents has produced over 19,000 shows, sold more than 19 million tickets across 100 cities, and raised over $2 million for charity.

Disco’s festivals include Ubbi Dubbi, Lights All Night, Freaky Deaky, and artist-curated events with Illenium, Excision and Kaskade and Deadmau5. Donnie has always believed in the power of partnership, collaborating with AEG, Live Nation, SFX, LiveStyle and fostering the growth of many independent promoters, including pre-Live Nation Insomniac. One of his most significant and exclusive accomplishments was selling Disco Donnie Presents to SFX and then returning to independence by buying it back. Donnie expanded into rock music with So What? Festival and a destination event with Tool, as well as venue ownership, starting with SILO Dallas nightclub.
