Katie is the senior music correspondent at Billboard, where she directs dance music coverage and reports on sustainability as it relates to the music industry. She's been covering dance for more than a decade, first as the senior music writer at LA Weekly, then on the editorial team at Insomniac Events, where she had a front-row seat to the U.S. electronic music explosion of the 2010s. Since joining Billboard in 2019, she's reported on all facets of the global dance scene, with highlights including a cover story on the return of Swedish House Mafia, a cover with genre icons Justice and an in-depth report on Saudi Arabia’s emerging music industry.
